Good morning Brooklyn

On my way to the subway this morning, just as I reached the corner of Franklin & Fulton, I noticed a man yelling then kicking a car door in a heated argument. After a couple more kicks, the driver attempted to exit the vehicle but forgot to put in it in park and the car began to roll back. As he ducked back in to stop it the man kicked again and smashed the driver's leg in the door, then the man fled down the stairs of the subway stop. The driver, an old man with a limp, got out with a long curved knife in his hand and went after the man. The whole time they were screaming at each other "I'm gonna kill you" and "Drop the knife old man!" while everyone was watching, afraid to go near. The man stopped at the base of the stairs and yelled over and over to drop the knife and the old man stood his ground about half way down. At this point, people either realized nothing more was gonna happen, were used to this sort of thing, or were too late for work to care. I ended up passing them on the stairs and catching the next train.

The funny thing is, you know you've been in New York too long when you find yourself laughing out loud at the whole thing.
